Hello =D!
Today was a very long day but freaking fun. I woke up super early (5:30am)! That's early for me on a Sunday. I woke up extra early because I went to cheer my brother-in-law for his second marathon. It was his second time running a marathone and he freaking killed it! He finished in 3:19 that's really good to me. His first was finished at 3:30. Eleven minutes of improvement!
'nough talk about him. While I was cheering him on I was with my sister, his wife, driving around to catch him at every stop we could to take pics of him. This made us run and walk a lot. We were running from where we parked to where he was suppose to pass and parking was nowhere near those spots. I wasn't expecting to run that much today. But it was worth it, it made me want to run a race myself. I hope I do this marathon next year. If not, just a few races.
I came home around 4 and super tired but was determined to do level 1 from the 30 day shred. But I got interrupted by visit. I was very close to finishing, I had about 5 minutes to go but had to stop. Oh well. What makes me feel better is that I walked a lot today. To prove, I have a blister for wearing slip ons and my legs are killing me. So I dont feel too guilty for not finishing todays work-out.
I'm also very happy to report that I had no candy or chocolate today and I chugged on tons of water today. I lost count when I was on my 6th 16 oz water bottle but I'm positive I had more than 8 bottles (I know I'm bad for using loads of bottles but I always carry a 24 oz bottle of my own and finish it so I carry extras in the car just in case I get thirsty, which is always the case).
Now onto food:
BREAKFAST: 6:15am I knew I wasnt going to be thinking about food during the race so I ate 1 cup of oatmeal with raisins and pb. (This had me full until about 12)
snagged a bad of dried fruit and was munching on it until I got home. (GREAT replacement for sweets)
HOME at 4ish. Made my self a yogurt parfait (got the idea from Jess from Truly.Into.Fitness - 1 nectarine, 1/2 of plain non fat yogart, 4 strawberries and a handful of granola. - delicious!
DINNER: 1 cup of yesterday's spaghetti (I know), and loads of steamed broccoli and carrots.
I have to get back to doing my hw before calling it a night.
I seriously want to thank everyone who takes time to read my blog! It motivates me in staying on track (not that I did a great job today) and it helps me keep focus. I'm sorry I always ramble a lot, I can't seem to stop. =)
